New bootsies!!!!

I got my grubby hands on some 2009 Vans Omni at a killer deal:

It's my first pair of boots with BOA... oh lordy lordy lordy... BOA is supposed to be better now and less likely to break so I hope these bootsies serve me well this winter. My last pair of boots were the Vans Tara Dakides and I loved them, they lasted me 300+ days. I probably could squeeze half a season or another season out of them.

Vans Tara Dakides (2004??)

Compared to the Tara Dakides, the Omni fit me a lot better. Then again, the TD is a 7.5, the Omni is a 7. I'm a 7 in street shoes. The Omni fits real well and I like the ankle area in the boots a lot. They're also stiff but not ski-boot stiff. They'll soften up in no time. One thing I don't like is that horizontal velcro strap on the top of the inner liner like most boots have so I just fold it without running it through the eyelet. I also love the bling on the Omni, hahahaha... there's some diamonds here and there; my boyfriend asked if he could wear them.... hmmmm NO... haha!

Speaking of boots I forgot to mention that when I wrote the blog about the Nikes, the snow wasn't slushy at all... it was dry and dusty and icy in some spots. He went riding again when it was snowing and his feet didn't get wet... hmmm.... I don't know, he said he'll keep riding with the Nikes and see what happens!
