Pancake Breakfast for Lomo

One of my friends up here got into a serious snowboarding accident, and unfortunately, like a lot of people who live up here, she doesn't have health insurance.

Lauren Molieri, AKA Lomo, accidentally went inverted off a jump at Breckenridge about a week ago, and broke her back in 3 places, collarbone, nose, and the bone under one of her eyes. Brutal! I got the chance to visit her when she was in ICU, and I just wanted to give her a BIG BEAR HUG but I couldn't, she looked so fragile. She had just come out of surgery for her face, she has 4 plates in her face, 15+ screws, and a wire holding her eye-bones together. She was in such great spirits though and made everyone in the room laugh and smile. She is a really tough girl. Unfortunately, since she has no health insurance, her medical bills are... a lot. Like, a lot. It's no joke, so we need to come together as a community and help Lomo out. Good karma will go your way if you help out!

I found a Pancake Breakfast event on Facebook, and proceeds will go towards Lomo's medical bills.

Date: Sunday, April 11, 2010
Time: 11:45am - 2:00pm
Location: Agape Outpost Chapel; Breckenridge, CO

Event description: $5 per person suggested donation, pancake breakfast

maple syrup
whipped cream
chocolate chips
ice cream
banannas
peanutbutter

OH YEAH!!!

It's coming up on April 11th, that's also the same day as the BSG On-Snow Demo at Breckenridge so I will be in the area for sure and I will definitely come stop by. I mean, look at that list of deliciousness (ice cream too!!) for only a suggested donation of $5, and it goes to a good cause!

Lomo killing it at Northstar

I will be coming up with my own fundraiser with hopefully some of my sponsors' help, and will post more details once I get this thing going. If you're in the Summit County/Denver area, stay tuned!

If you are unable to make it to the Pancake Breakfast and still want to help out, donations can be mailed to:

No worries, she's not paralyzed! She's walking around fine, and I believe she doesn't need surgery on her back or collarbone
