Well, shit....

My boyfriend (well, I suspect it was him) broke the cord that charges my laptop. Sigh. The reason I think it was him is because whenever he uses my laptop, he leaves the cord dangling and it eventually split. Bah!! Needless to say, updates won't be happening for a while unless I can figure out how to get pictures up here on my iPhone. It's all so much easier on a laptop though!!

Now, snow updates. It was f'ing hot yesterday!!!! What?! Yesterday was also the day that Loveland started blowing snow last year. Clearly it's not cold enough yet but I have been hearing from people that a warm, dry September meant an epic powder-filled winter was in store for us. Hmmmm. Let's see if they're right! My car is almost in winter mode, stoked! Got 4 brand new Blizzak tires for $130, woo! Just need the snowboard rack back on and I'm ready to crush the snow! Can't wait!

I also read in the paper today that there are two reality tv shows under development in the South Shore in Lake Tahoe that will revolve around skiing and snowboarding. One is "King of the Mountain" and the other is uh... I think it's simply called "South Shore.". The first one is going to be about a bunch of amateur skiers and snowboarders vying for a professional sponsorship. It's going to be an elimination type of show. The other will be about daily life in Tahoe. Now, I lived there for a bit and I already know what it's going to be all about: parties every night, some themed, some not; good vibes; friendly people; rude people; Chileans; powder; park; local resort competitions; tons of free shit; and so on. I liked Tahoe a lot when I was there.

I dunno if it's just me, but it seems that people there are way friendlier than here! You see, when I moved there, my cochlear implant was broken so j couldn't hear shit. I went to a party with a friend anyways, and I couldn't believe how easy it was to make new friends. It worked out great because I never wear my implant when I snowboard anyways! Now, it seems like when I meet people here in Summit County, when I tell them I'm deaf, people almost always go, "oh, okay" and walk off. Umm, what the hell? Thanks. Now I feel like whenever I go places, people are like, "Oh, she's deaf, don't worry about talking to her.". Well, to those people, I say a hearty fuck you. Despite people like that, I have still made many other awesome friends here and I love them all!!
