No more www.tundrawookie.com for now! Thedeafness.blogspot.com will be my address. My credit card gets charged automatically to renew my domain, but the card expired this year and I couldn't fix it on my phone. Doh!! No big deal though.
Still no laptop, talk about procrastinating! Ski resorts also still haven't opened but the news said either Loveland or A-Basin or both will be open by Oct 21st or 22nd. Sweet. I am going to pick up my season pass this week, stoked!!
I also participated in the first rail jam of the season on October 16th. It was the SFC Early Bird rail jam that I did last year and placed second. I did so awful in the heat! I was all nervous and excited at the same time and my heart wouldn't stop racing. My friend who got in finals didn't want to do it so she gave me her spot. By the time the womens finals came around, I had calmed down and my heart wasn't racing anymore. I did SO much better and ended up winning first place! I'm stoked and so proud of myself! I'd say I redeemed myself right there haha. They gave me my prize bag clearly labeled "1st chick snowboard" and what was in it? A LARGE MENS jacket, and a MEDIUM mens shirt. Aahh yeah those won't fit me. I gave the jacket to my roommate and the shirt to my boyfriend and they're stoked. I did get a sweet girls Matix shirt though and cute Grenade mittens. Yay!!!!!!! Now I can't wait for the season to officially begin! Huge thanks to the SFC for putting together the rail jam, it was so fun!
EDIT: There's a video going around from the rail jam and it incorrectly states that Emily Blewitt won- she was the one who gave me her number so I could ride in finals. That's teamwork right there! Apparently Grey Clifford also won third and we all didn't know it?! Hahaha... funny.
