Arapahoe Basin opened first in Colorado this year on Wednesday, October 17th. I don't have my pass yet, but I went anyways. Luckily, someone gave Adrian and I tickets, so we got to take a few laps.
There were long lines, but it wasn't terrible. I couldn't stop SMILING! I was just sooo happy to be back on my snowboard! Even when we got off the chair and lapped through the park with the super icy landings, I had that stupid grin still plastered on my face. The weather was glorious; sunny and blue skies. The snow was shitty, but who cares, I was snowboarding and I was having so much fun. I also saw friends again, it was so great. We all had a quick beer and went riding some more. Adrian and I didn't stay all day, we had to go look at a house on Peak 7 in Breckenridge (decided not to take it) and in addition to that, we had a sick dog to tend to (all better now!).
