Back to the Grind... Almost

What a busy week. 

We got a crap ton of snow.  Like three feet, no joke.  It seriously snowed for three days straight, although it was mostly done by the third day.  The blue skies this morning are a welcome sight. 

This is what my truck looked like 24 hours after the storm started.

This amount of snow is awesome and ridiculous at the same time.  All this snow... DAMN YOU KNEE!  I read an article about this storm in the newspaper and this skier said something like, "This is the best day I've had in the last ten years!"  UGH, DAMN YOU AGAIN, KNEE!  Cobie couldn't make it out this weekend because the weather was so gnarly :(  DAMN YOU, SNOW!  Hahaha.

I call this "Beer Run"

I went to PT on Friday and we did a whole bunch of new things.  I could feel a lot of muscles working that I didn't really use prior.  We corrected my gait and I even did SQUATS.  ERMAHGERD.  I went to work yesterday and my knee feels more sore now, probably due to the now correct way of walking... and standing and the previous day PT, of course.  It feels good though, feels like my legs are getting stronger.

Sasha gave me her teleskis and I took them, figuring that I'd get skins someday and go hiking around with them.... eventually learn how to teleski (that's something I always wanted to learn).  I just happened to be talking about the skis at work and one of my regulars told me he can get me skins, for free!  I was floored because I had heard skins were so expensive, and he kept assuring me it was no problem, he has "three pairs of skins, just sitting around."  Sasha dropped the skis off at the coffeeshop for me and I now have Voile skins on the skis!!!!!!!!!  They're PURPLE!  Hahaha yay!  Now I just gotta see if her teleskis boots fit me.  I forgot how to put on ski boots.  D'oh.

I got a care package from Ali!!  I guess late Christmas gifts, haha!  She sent me a bunch of cool stuff from around Hawaii!

 That's not even all the gifts pictured, but how cool is that coffee mug and bag of coffee beans?  Wake N Bake, seriously?  How awesome.  Smokey's is apparently a coffee AND glass shop... way cool.  She also got me a jade Hei Matau necklace you see between the cups.  Gorgeous... and of course, we can't miss that big-ass cup that says "drink coffee or die!"... oh man.  How does she do it.  These speak to me.  I am enjoying a cup of the Wake N Bake right now and it is GOOD!  Stoked!  She got me a couple of t-shirts as well, one from Cheater-Five and another that she said was handmade by some dude, somewhere.... I gotta ask her details again hahaha.  It's a pretty purple tank top with cool green designs on it.  I also got a little turtle made out of shells (she loves her turtles) and it's chilling on my nightstand.  I am way stoked, this package made my day.

I can't wait til I really go out and about more... I wanna get little gifts for my friends who are near and dear to me!
